Every year in Whitsun the event “Carnival of culture” is starting, organized by Werkstatt der Kulturen. Since 2004 Nonga Dance Group participate in Carnival of Culture and represent the Polynesian culture, since 2006 together with the Polynesian Cultural Society in Europe e.V. and alohahwaii.de. In 2006 we showed a special theme with own composed music, own choreography and traditional costumes. The result TOP 10 in the competition.

This year we were showing the
